A million years ago I let my disagreement with Dr. Martin Luther King's methodologies turn into a mild hatred that we reserve for cowards.
On (I think) the 25th anniversary of his assassination The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan's spoke on Dr. King's legacy. Even though he differed with Dr. King's approach, he spoke of him with such reverence. He provided deep insight into some of the brilliant strategies employed by Dr. King. That speech made me appreciate Dr. King again. This man earned his stripes and (knowingly) paid the ultimate price. That is NOT cowardice.
I no longer polarize the issue of Malcolm vs Martin, but rather celebrate common ties.
