But, far from being a simple tasty treat, it comes after a row over radioactive wastewater.

In recent days, Japan has started discharging treated wastewater from the 2011 Fukushima nuclear meltdown back into the sea.

And while the United Nations says the water is safe and will have "negligible" impact on people and the environment, China, the leading buyer of Japan's fish, announced it was totally banning Japanese seafood products, over fears for consumer health.
