Wanted to support a local HS football game last night in East Baltimore. Dunbar High School (of noted national basketball recognition) and Loyola College (a historically racist private institution of wealth and entitlement). Standing room only crowd. The score was 21-0 at halftime, Loyola. Just as the 2nd half began, a kid across the street from the field, let go approx 7-10 rounds from what sounded like a Glock .40 cal at someone he was beefing with. Pandamonnium ensued! Players ran off the field, spectators stampeded the exits! A damn out of control mess! The kid with the gun was running down the middle of the street chasing somebody holding the gun in his hand openly, with the police chasing his ass. Friday night lights in East Baltimore! We are our own worst enemy.
