I got another scenario
In my head where
You got arrested for talkin
About racism with someone
And you’re educatin them…the fact
You spill facts and use your critical thinkin
To explain what it is….

And another person hears the discussion
And he or she calls the cops on you, mind you
You’re black, you’re teachin someone about
Blackness….someone who looks like you

Then the cops came and handcuffs you,
They also handcuffed someone who’s learnin….

None of y’all were mindin
Your business….
Y’all were talkin about somethin that has nothin
To do with a person, a nosybody….

Nosybody called the cops
On y’all for talkin about racism…he or she got
Scared….

You know at the time
You were shock you don’t know what to say
But arguin sayin you didn’t do anythin wrong
Includin you someone you were teachin
Didn’t anythin wrong….

Black people gets arrested
For doin little things….for mindin their business….
I don’t really like this scenario
But it could happen unpredictably….unexpectedly

Never know…..and this is why I keep sayin
White supremacy has to go for real
Cos things like this don’t happen anymore….

It’s a shame that we live in a world so fuckin cold
Where black people feel like they ain’t allow to breathe
And it bothers me only cos of systematic oppression

Keeps dehumanizin them, tryin their best to depopulate them….
White supremacy is wicked and too envious….
It’s why we need to have conversations about it,
We need to learn about it, instead of being cowards….
And we also have to fight back….

Get rid of the system instead of being extra comfortable
With the abuse that keeps fuckin us up and fuckin us over for decades….
And black people are drainin…utterly exhausted…..

Why do I write like this? It’s my passion….
It’s the love of black people….
And I wanna help them by readin my poems
And look at my art as of therapeutic…
I may not be the best healer in the world…..

However I want them to learn as a healin process
And let their critical thinkin expands…
I wanna paint knowledge of self on their brains
So they can feel somethin spark….

Think about this scenario, what would you do in a
Situation like this? If you understand the system,
You would want it to disappear for good…I would…

They hurt black people’s feelings so much that
We have gotten use to it….
