Mariamne Samad - One of the ranking elders of the Garvey Movement. Born September 1, 1922, she was raised in the UNIA and co-founded a number of Race First Institutions in Harlem and Jamaica. She's the original designer of the Dashiki and Tupac Shakur's Grandmother.
