The Rhodes Scholarship. Steeped in white supremacist (inferiority), intended for white males only at Oxford University... an institution with a history of exclusion, discrimination, racism, and harassment. This is a "scholarship" that enables privilege, and entitlement rooted in a legacy of imperialism, colonialism, outright theft, and oppression.

Cecil Rhodes, was a prominent British figure... a strong advocate for British imperialism in Africa. He played a key role in the colonization of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and was instrumental in the establishment of the British South Africa Company, which controlled much of southern Africa.

It is estimated that through the British Empire's exploitation of Africa they stole over **$45 trillion** from the continent between 1660 and 2018.

Here are a few analogies that might help you visualize what $45 trillion dollars looks like:

1. If you stacked $100 bills on top of each other, $45 trillion would be equivalent to a stack that is **over 300,000 miles high**.

2. If you spent $1 million every day, it would take you **over 123,000 years** to spend $45 trillion.

3. If you laid $100 bills end-to-end, $45 trillion would stretch **over 17 billion miles**, which is enough to circle the Earth more than 680,000 times.
