The climax of his turbulent journey was the gruesome double murder of Annette Lewis and Percy Branch in 1998, a crime rooted in a drug debt. Lloyd Avery II, once Hollywood's rising star, was sentenced to life imprisonment in December 2000.
Prison saw another transformation in Avery. He turned to Christianity, adopting the moniker “Baby Jesus” as he fervently spread his newfound faith. Yet, destiny had one more twist in store. Paired with Kevin Roby, a self-proclaimed devil worshiper, Avery met his tragic end in 2005, killed in what Roby described as a ritual "intended as a warning to God."
