Burkina Faso's 🇧🇫 government led by Ibrahim Traore has Nationalised the sugar sector in the country.

Majority of the factories were owned by French companies. They took the country's sugarcane; refined it, shipped some to France and sold the rest in Burkina Faso at a high cost.
