A Black police officer is still a police officer and is still part of a system of policing that allows, enables, and perpetuates violence. Being Black doesn’t negate the system, but the system will absolutely strengthen and sustain anti-Blackness regardless of race. They are part of a system built to maintain inequality and systematic violence! Those officers need to be held accountable and must face justice, but so does America’s Policing system. Also, We cannot explain how much it hurts to have multiple videos of Black men, crying out for their mothers, just before their murders by police. Our heart hurts for Black Mothers. He was just 2 minutes away from home...😥
