DON'T "LIKE" THIS POST, READ, THEN COMMENT (or I'm a block you). In my 20s, rom-coms (romantics comedies) used to seem like it played out in a movie, or a TV show, like this: he meets her, he peruses her, they date, fall in love, get married, have a few children, and live joyfully ever after, Nowadays, I view rom coms like this: sexual predator, stalks his prey, she's gullible, he love b0mbs her, he hides the fact that he's egotistical/narcissistic, with disloyal tendencies, he's has side piece, unbeknownst to her, he has an active dating app profile that states he's 'single and ready to mingle', currently, he has a past criminal record, that includes D.V. the he withholds form her, he seeks to control a woman's life, he weaponizes marriage, by proposing to her (she accepts), then get married, she;'s his UNPAID house-slave, in addition to her working outside the house, weeks after the wedding he start s to put hands and feet on her, he sit s around the house and does nothing, he picks arguments so he call storm out the house to have an extra-marital affair, he gets her pregnant, and know he knows that he's trapped her, stunted her professional growth and has her 'on lock', after a few children where she's a married single mother, she's secretly miserable, yet post to social media her 'happy married life' images, within a few years she files for divorce, to which he response by getting angry, putting more hands and feet on her, she has to fleet the household, and take her children with her, to a safe location to get away from the demon, she has to get a retraining order our against him and she lives 'looking over her shoulder' ever after.
