Black pain
Black pain
Has been ignored
Has been forgotten
Has been silent
Has been loud…
Has been normal…
Has been stiff..
Has been unbelieved….
White doctors
Still don’t think
Black pain has a voice….
Why?
Cos to their eyes
Black people ain’t human…
You know what sadder
Black doctors
Took the white ideals
And put them on their patients
Who looks like them sayin
Black pain is not human pain…
It doesn’t exist….
Like our feelings ain’t real….
We can’t feel
But we scream in agony…
Sir, ma’am
Are you a black doctor?
You should be aware of
Black pain…
Reality check, you ain’t white
Cos if you’re in that situation
Where you are a black patient
Hurtin too death
The nurses don’t hear you
Doctor didn’t come
They will let you die
Especially when you’re a black woman
Havin a baby
You’re most highly disrespected
Not cared for in a hospital….
I’m not sayin all black women
But I heard stories
About black pain
Black pain
Is real
Black pain
Provide tears
And lessons
We feel
We think
We get sick
Like a human….
I don’t wanna hear
Any other race pain
I’m focusin on
Black pain
My people pain
And nobody respect
Our pain
That includes us…
We think we’re not humans
Either..cos white supremacy not only
Tell us that but they show
Us that we’re not human…
I mean go look at 13th amendment…
Yet,
WE ARE HUMANS….
and we die at the hands of
Public hospitals everyday
Cos of melanin in our skin…
You can’t tell me
We’re overreactin
You can’t tell me
It’s rude to have a phone
During appointments
Cos black people don’t trust doctors
Very much just like police officers
Sometimes they don’t have a choice
To go to these hospitals
They can’t afford it
Which makes it even harder….
Black pain
Is real
Too real
People roll their eyes
And tell us to shut up…
The more they ignore
Then black pain turns to death
It’s been done on purpose….
Black pain is real though nobody cares…
That includes us we don’t care about us
Gettin hurt either….😢🤬✊🏿💯©️ Kai C. 1-9-24
