Just to be clear, they are NOT hunting VEGETABLESS or FRUIT, they are hunting an animal. Also, they have been hunting, killing and EATING animals for thousands of years (LONG before wipipo set foot in Africa so don't say meat eating was introduced by wipipo 😒). Another thing, how can you say you want to be like our ancestors and don't eat meat like our ancestors? And there are no drawings anywhere, in caves, walls or statues etc showing that our ancestors hunted trees, it's always hunting an animal lol 🤣. And where does it say, since it's written in stone, that man must not eat meat?
Hausa hunters in Northern Nigeria are used to walking quietly in the bush. They usually wear very little clothing, sometimes just a cloth around their waist, and may even go barefoot. They carry bows and quivers filled with arrows coated in poison.
In the forests up north, there are large Hornbills that make a lot of noise as they move through the bushes. The hunters like these birds and make fake wooden copies of their heads and necks, which they attach to their foreheads. The hunters then crouch in the grass and move their heads up and down like the birds do when they are feeding.
If a deer hears the noise, it might look up and see the fake hornbill's head. The deer might think it's just a bird and go back to eating. But, it's not really a bird; it's a person. By the time the deer figures that out, the hunter has already shot it with a poisoned arrow from a close distance.
The earliest evidence of widespread human meat-eating are at sites in Kenya dating back to 2 million years ago, archaeologists have discovered thousands of flaked stone knives and fist-sized hammerstones near large piles of animal-bone fragments with corresponding butcher marks.
