Germany demanded that Niger end all relations with Russia and threatened to close its embassy in the country.

This is how the general Tiani the current President of Niger responded:

"Who needs Germany? If Germany wants to close its embassy, so be it, we won't beg anyone. These people from Europe have brought nothing to Africa except wars, terrorism and the exploitation of our resources"
