In 2016, Ikea launched a hot dog in Japan that featured a black bun and giant sausage colored with bamboo charcoal to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary in the country 🌭.

The Ninja Dog is intended to be shaped similarly to a ninja scroll. The sausage is almost a foot long, at 11.8 inches — a full three inches longer than the bun. The bun and sausage both contain edible bamboo charcoal. Yuriko Iwasaki, corporate communication manager with the company, said the ingredient can detox, making it seem a tad healthier than a typical dog.
