Discredit a black man for being on
The side of a black woman….
Like he’s there to support her
He’s there to defend her
And to that black community
It’s a problem…
My people are actin like white folks

Yall actin black love shouldn’t be

Together cos of white people are around…

So they won’t have fear

Askin why a black man is there
Why is he on her side,

Which is to say
Y’all don’t want black love to
Be this powerful
To be this strength
Cos y’all never see it before…
Y’all never experienced it before….
Y’all are too busy hatin yourselves and
Disrespectin one another……
Y’all are deeply conditioned to be
White folks, to ache for white approvals
I keep tellin y’all
Stockholm syndrome is too real…
We need to break that cycle….
