Can we forgive as a black race?
Sure we can…
But the problem is not all of us
Are forgiven…that’s a tricky part
We have family members, friends,
Even celebrities who can’t be trusted…
Who ain’t really sorry….

The only reason I asked this question
Can we forgive as a black race?
Cos we keep forgivin white folks constantly
We keep givin them a pass….
But we side eye our own apologies…
We don’t forgive ourselves…

And it goes back to slavery….
Forgivin white people is generational curse….
As Dr. Frances Cress Welsing said, it’s a tradition….

It does make sense, cos think about it
There are so much abuse on that plantations
Violence in masters’ houses…..

And the worst part about it is
They used Christianity to force the slaves to forgive
To give compassion to your masters as obedience…
Place Bible in their faces….
Yet did the master forgive the slaves?

This is why black people couldn’t fight back
Cos they forgave white folks…they forgave the racism…..
That unconditional love for a white man or any other race
Is Stockholm syndrome…it’s too real….

Can you forgive someone who rapes you?
Who whoops you til your scars bleed?
Cos Jesus said forgive your enemy…
Your enemy is not actually sorry….
Your enemy is still greedy for power….

Black people can be forgiven
By people who look like them
However they can’t trust each other….
They have to weed them out…

What I’m sayin is that
We need to practice forgiveness
in the black community,
We need to forgive ourselves….
Start by small,
It’s really difficult to know
Can this person is actually be forgiven?

Are black people too hard to forgive?
Are only white folks easy?
Most likely yes….

Look at our Stockholm Syndrome…
It’s been passed down
This is a lot of reasons why we can’t get
Anywhere…
Cos we forgive the beast, we love the beast…
We want to give a beast lots of hugs…
And it’s annoyin…
