The Klondike Goldrush 1896-1899

On August 16, 1896 three men were present at the Klondike River in Dawson City of Yukon, Canada where gold was found in large quantities...Two Tagish Tribal Natives: Skookum Jim and Tagish Charlie. The other..a prospector George Carmack. It was said that it is not clear whom initially found the gold, but if you read the document concerning this you will understand that it was clear. The sources claim the group agreed that George Carmack identify as the official founder due to fears that authorities would not recognize “indigenous” men.
