Usually farmers want bees to pollinate their crops - but not in this case. The citrus industry actually sued the apiary industry back in 2006, claiming that the bees were trespassing and pollinating their citrus. This caused seeds to grow, which resulted in a low value crop (customers want seedless citrus!). The citrus growers wanted the beekeepers to keep their bees off their property. The citrus growers lost the lawsuit, and the result was these enormous fishing nets that cover the citrus and keep out the bees.
