I don’t know about you
There are white man shooters
On the loose,
But they blame us for
Black on Black crime
They said we’re the violent ones
We’re the criminals….

What about the Mormon church?
What about Charlie Kirk event?
What’s the other place that happened a
While ago?

And they told us we started this shit,
We wanted civil war….

Black people wanted to be left alone….

It’s their people, their white folks
They wanted to fight,
They wanted to throw tantrums
Cos their jig is up….

They never wanna blame
On white man shooters…
Cos in their eyes they’re the lonely wolves
They never wanna lay their faults upon
Their mass destruction…

The only time we as black people
Wanna fight is when white America
Doesn’t leave the fuck alone….
White America knew what a whoop ass feels like
Montgomery brawl, remember?
Slave revolts?
Haitian revolution?

Yet they’re pushin it
They’re askin for it…

White man shooters
They want battle
They want kills
They know what they’re doin
It’s why they’re never forgiven….

The black church should never forgive
Dylan Roof….he did it on purpose…
Just cos lord Christ said we should forgive our enemies
No, killers can’t be forgiven they never apologized….

Regardless of golden hearts
You can’t give them your power back…

The fact is,

There are goin to be more
White man shooters
In the future if this country won’t stop…
Like how can you be okay with gun violence
That snatch your loved ones away?

Nobody is okay with that

But this is United States
Ya the United States of bull shit…

They’re okay with gun violence
Takin someone’s loved ones
Away…to them it’s patriotic….
To them, they don’t want safety gun
Laws to protect their families and friends….

I must read your autobiography
Soon…I need to learn about you
And who you are as a black woman…
As a person….

Ignorant black folks say shit
That doesn’t make sense to
My brain…I won’t make your
Death as a self hated statement…

Indeed I will respect you
Even if you don’t know my name….
I will respect your legacy
Your boldness….

Cos you’re somebody’s shero…
You stood on business….
And so I must honor your spirit….

This is why history is so important
Why black panther had to fight the white supremacy
Its government…

All you want our people to be free
From the chains, simple as that….

I don’t blame you, Assasta….
I want us to be free…
We never want our souls and minds
To be on a lockdown…
We wanna feel our liberation, to
Taste our own freedom song….

If I could meet you in person,
I would say thank you for your courage
Thank you for your bravery
And I was glad you were safe
After you provoked the government….

Maybe it’s possible
Black girls who read about you
Wanted to be just like you
When they grow into full grown women
And want to save their own people…
Want to own their weapons to protect
Their own communities right next to the
Strong black masculine men….

For the black girls who have compassion
And humanity for the people who needs a voice…
Determine to make a difference in this world….

And to me, Assasta
You still give them that
Even black women has that inspiration
As well….

I haven’t read your autobiography
Yet, soon I will read and learn about
Your golden soul….
