Poetry book ban

There would be one person
Who can complain about my poetry book
Yes it’d be one person
Who can complain about my poetry book
If it was out there inspirin people
Talkin about racism, black people
Disability, all kind of truth that nobody
Wants to talk about, you know the controversy
One would write a letter or make a phone call
To have my words banned from the school to the Library
Even in a bookstore or on Amazon….
I could be way too real…
Someone might have a talk with me
Or my mom or someone in the family
That I should stop writin these things
And keep my politics and brutal honesty
To myself…well then my readers
How would they be inspired?
I don’t wanna change the way I write
For anybody
I don’t wanna switch my sentences and metaphors
To coddle feelings….
I don’t have time….that causes my flow….
I’m a poet, a black poet…. And I don’t give a fuck
If you ban my poetry when it published,
I still post my work online
And people will recite my voice
In their hearts
So I’m not goin anywhere….
I’m a ghost, I’m a threat…
You just goin to have to get used to it…
You just don’t like what I write
Cos my blackness triggers you
My disability crushes you….
I will never shut up
So how dare you complain
I bet your friend enjoys my work….
You can say that you can say this
The bottom line
You can’t erase my soul on paper….
It would take one person to complain
About a black poetess in a wheelchair
Who writes the truth from the heart
And it frightens them…they don’t like
My boldness…don’t like the truth….
Especially white supremacy…
The system might give me a situation
Where danger comes knockin at my door
And nobody wants to deal with that….
Yet is it my freedom to write whatever
The fuck I want regardless emotions….
I don’t like to be told to stop writin shit
That can hurt people, sayin I got white friends
Tellin me I got white people helpin
Well they need to do their own research
Of why I write so much with so much compassion
Why I’m so informative about the coldest world
We live in…why i love writin poems about black
People and why do I help them out…
You can say I’m a racist
I don’t give a fuck….
If you wanna ban my poetry book
Cos of my certain poems
Go right ahead
I might be broken
However
My readers
Could pass the books to others
And I will still post my poems online
I could play chess with the system
I would go out think them
And still be the most beautiful threat in the world
That respect and has dignity in herself..

• I am raised in a cage in modern processing plants which stresses me out and makes me crazy.
• I chew on the bars of my cages until my face is a bloody mess.
• I hope you know the parasites and worms in my flesh are so strong that it's nearly impossible to kill all of them while cooking me to eat.
• I have next to nothing left in the way of nourishment for you by the time you're done cooking me to "recommended temperature." You might as well eat the sole of your shoe.
• I find it hard to believe that you are unaware that our Creator never intended for me to be food (meat) for you, and He informed you of that in the 11th chapter of Leviticus, and the 14th chapter of Deuteronomy.
