It’s not power..
Well ok,
Let me give you this,
A white man puts a major
Spell on black people’s minds…
Now we talk like him
We walk like him
We worship him
Speak his language
Even when we don’t have chains on
Our ankles anymore….
We hate ourselves
For him…
We hate the people who look like us
For him
We defend him
We protect him
Fall in love with his white woman
Wipin her white tears….
Cradle her in our arms….
Even though she fake her feelings…
And we talked down on
Our own race on our community
Just for them
Them folks
We say
White people
Who has a system that controls the
Whole melaninated population
Even our own leaders…
Sayin racism isn’t a construct…
Then black people are sayin
Racism isn’t a construct
They’re in denial….
They’re sayin
Racism doesn’t exist
Racism is in the past…
They’re talkin like white people
And that shit is insane…
Like why?
They still want to please a white man..
Still want that acceptance
They tell other black people to hush…
And it’s all part of the white power structures…
They’re the gatekeepers…some will destroy the black unity….
You have to understand
That black folks can’t be racist
Not in a white man’s reality
If racism isn’t a construct,
Then how come we have to follow
Their laws and policy?
How come we can’t do our own hair
And appreciate our own culture?
How come we gotta ask the government
For a black holiday?
You know Stockholm Syndrome is too real….
You know damn well it’s real….
This is why I don’t wanna hear
About racism isn’t a construct
Especially from the people who look like me
I don’t wanna hear I don’t see color
Skin color doesn’t matter
When we both know deep down
It truly does….
I don’t like my people defendin
White supremacy…it broke my heart…
It’s annoyin as fuck….
White supremacy is meant to hurt
The black nations on purpose…..
System isn’t sorry…
That’s why black people shouldn’t forgive
What was done to us…..
But they do forgive they give racists a pass
And hugs cos
As I said before
My people has a Stockholm Syndrome that never goes
Away….don’t put god Jesus Muhammad any Holy Spirit that
Walk on water as an excuse to forgive them or to apologize
to Them especially in the name of corporation….
My people wanna make white people feel comfortable
They wanna coddle their pain, their white fragility
While hatin themselves and their own to the core….
Racism is a construct,
It’s power….
And we as black people can’t be….
Though we should be racist
We should learn to be on our own….
Like practice a cookout without invitin white people
Or any other race
Let’s be ourselves cos we don’t have any friends….
Segregation is actually good for us
Good for our souls
However many of us don’t wanna do that
They don’t believe that
Many of us don’t understand the concept of racism
And how it affects us tremendously….
In a such terrible way to the point
We don’t realize it…
We’re desensitized….
It’s sad, disappointin…
It’s why black people are sayin
Racism isn’t a construct….
They’re sayin it doesn’t exist….
It does…
It’s real….
White supremacy points comes out
Of the melanated mouths
Who goes all out for system
For the white man…

When I try to tell someone
About black history and the truth
I was told to keep it in the house,
Keep it in your room…
Like nobody wants to talk about racism…
Nobody wants to listen, nobody
Wants me to post anythin about
Black people on social media…
I’d lose my white friends….
Someone said I might lose the benefits
If I said somethin….
I don’t wanna be forced to apologize for
Doin the right thing….
I’m not famous,
I’m a regular person who writes poems
After having coffee in the mornin…
Regular person who draws Disney characters
In my sketchbook
Talkin to my friends on Instagram….
And on melaninated people dot net….
Yes I’m someone who is woke
Who knows what’s goin on…
I’m just a poetess that’s roll on by…
And people back off takin offense
Cos I said factual things from the heart..
Some think i shouldn’t write like that,
Shouldn’t post shit
To them it’s unlike me
However I wanna write somethin real…
I’m ok makin my readers uncomfortable…
I want them to use their critical thinkin…
I usually write love poetry and stuff
Now I’m more into serious topics
About what goes on with the world…
I wanna be the voice for black people
I know what’s goin on..I observe how we are
And who we are, I can see we’re lost
And have a lot of mental illnesses that we don’t
Discuss within our community…I witnessed how we’ve been
Treated by white power structures, I may not experienced a lot
I know how white supremacy works in our society and how the system
Abuses our brains so much to the point that we got to used to it….it’s
Never a good thing at all…why do we have so much self hate? Why is there
So much colorism?
I enjoy writin pieces about it cos I wanna help my people
Even if some turn the other cheek and not listenin to what I gotta say….
It gets lonely sometimes when I try to place facts in stanzas for the people who
Look like me and they back away laughin sayin this and that…
As I said before
Nobody wants to hear the truth
Like someone would force me to put that poem down…
In the comfort zone of hurt feelings…
I remember I got upset by that…
I felt like i ain’t allowed to use my voice for the greater good
Cos I got white friends
I got white people helpin me
But I’m not allowed to expose white supremacy on the table
Considerin me I’m a racist sayin black people can be racist, too
The fact is black race doesn’t have constructed power…
We got power of fuck around and find out
We got the power to shut all the bull shit down
Right?
I know that…
Nobody wants to hear it….
Nobody wants to listen….
Especially nobody wants to read either…
