AND HERE IT IS!!! The article me, my daughter, and her fellow classmates and parents have been featured in from New York Magazine. This article was a great cover on this school. However, y’all don’t know the half of all that went down in and around this school. The fact that the spokesperson stated that facts in this article was fabricated says a lot about the school franchise and its operations. They absolutely refuse to take accountability or make things better. If you live within the 5 boroughs of New York…..BE WARNED!!! Do not send your children to this school franchise. Yeah the good majority of New York schools run like Capital Prep, but at least you’re not going to be out of money for the same conditions you experience. Save your money. In fact CPH is the worst school experience I’ve witnessed throughout any school my children have attended. I’m sorry for sending my baby girl there. Her school records are still incorrect and it’s nothing I can do about it. https://www.thecut.com/article..../diddy-harlem-charte

There’s white supremacy
In a disabled community…
You know that, right?
So much whiteness
Even if white friends said
It doesn’t matter what color
Your skin is….
White supremacy is still there
I don’t care what anyone says….
Black people with disabilities
Any kind
We’re black…
White supremacy doesn’t give
A fuck about your disability
They care about your blackness…
Your melanin in your skin….
There are a lot of parents
Don’t actually teach their kids
With special needs about racism
Cos they thought their babies won’t
Experience such thing at all
They don’t expect them to hear those
Slurs… they don’t expect them to deal
With police brutality….even though some kids
Don’t understand what’s really goin on
They still experience racism…
It’s why black parents need to think
About how they’re goin to navigate in
This dominated society….they still need to
Talk to their babies with disabilities about
White supremacy…there are ways to tell them
How the world view us as black people….
It’s still sad that white supremacy made
black people with disabilities
Silent about racism…they give us Martin Luther king
Speech yet there are still some of us out here
Talkin about racism….talkin about how we
Managed…i can say
White people with disabilities gets all the attention…
That includes them talkin about racism…
It’s the truth…. That’s why there’s white supremacy in
Disabled community…I got no reason to lie….
We have to deal with it also…

“I came here because I needed a better life, but should I die, please take care of my kids.”
That was the message Blessings, 39, sent to her sister in Malawi after she was trafficked to Oman to work in slave-like conditions.
She finally returned home last October, with the help of the Malawian government.
