When a white person tells the truth,
Black people feel like they trust him or her….
Some doesn’t, and as a collective
We shouldn’t trust a white person at all…
After what we’ve been through….
We shouldn’t…even a white person says he
Or she can’t be trusted….some black people
Are so naive and they asked why…they thought skin
Color doesn’t have anythin to do with the truth…
But it does…
To be real I admit when i listen to a white person
Speak facts, I feel like I can trust him or her…
I’m not lyin…is it our condition? Possibly?
I mean it’s Stockholm syndrome…
And we don’t know if he or she is usin this tactic to play us
Or is this white person being genuine?
Somehow we already invited him or her to the cookout…
Cos this white person is on our side…our ally..
Here’s a thing, black people needs to stop invitin
White folks and other races to our cookout…
We have to be racists, too…yes I said it
Cos no other races don’t have our backs…
Dr. John Henrik Clarke said it best
We have no friends…
However we don’t understand that…
We don’t wanna be racist..
In fact some of us are scared to be on our own..
What’s wrong with being by ourselves
With black people who are learnin how to respect
And dignity towards one another?
Ya we appreciate for some white folks who spills the beans
About their racism…but can we trust them? No. Can we forgive them?
No…this is our enemies on the chessboard….
And so many black people who still don’t have a clue…
We thank the white person for speakin the truth…
We thank the white person who defended us
Who talked to fellow white people
Who tried to dismantle the system…
But
We still shouldn’t trust a white person even if he or she is
Doin the right thing for us….
I would say to the white person just be aware of your own people
Who tries to murder you…cos you spoke about the real uncomfortable truth
The ones who called you nigger lover, sendin you death threats…

Mexico abolished slavery in 1829. Enslaved people were escaping to Mexico. The U.S. tried to get Mexico to sign a fugitive slave treaty to return escapees but Mexico refused to sign such a treaty, insisting that enslaved people were free once they set foot on Mexican soil.
— Did you know that Juneteenth is also celebrated in a part of Mexico?
Nacimiento Mexico was once home to thousands who escaped slavery in the US. As many as 10,000 slaves followed a clandestine Southern Underground Railroad to Mexico.
— To date, many Black Mexicans from the Texas area retrace a portion of the same route their African American ancestors followed in 1850 when they escaped slavery.
— Descendants of slaves who escaped across the southern border observe Texas’s emancipation holiday with their own unique traditions in the village of Nacimiento.
— Slave hunters would patrol the southern border for escapees, led by the Texas Rangers but the Mexican army would be there waiting for them (the slave hunters) to turn them away.
