Do you brush your locs?

My 2-year locversary is in the spring, since I was one year loced I've been looking into loc brushing. I weighed the pros and cons and decided that once or twice a month would be fine. I want to eliminate and/or prevent lint, distribute applied oils evenly thru my hair and soften my locs.

I started right before the Gregorian calendar new year.
My schedule goes:
Wash, spray with leave in conditioner, brush, retwist
Or
(On dry hair) Oil, spray hair with aloe vera rose water mix, brush, let dry, tie up. (Retwist next week)

I would say that I love it so far. It goes much quicker than I expected and my hair shaft is getting touchably soft.

Notes:
Do it BEFORE A RETWIST!!
Do it on damp hair. This is also a good time to oil your scalp.
Your hair must be fully locked so give your hair at least 1yr- 1 1/2 yrs to fully loc before brushing.

I heard it a few years ago I was very cautious so I did my research. I like it so far but I don't do it too often.
