Cos I said Jesus Christ doesn’t exist…
Well I said what I said…
I ain’t sorry…

You don’t need to feel sorry
For me…I know facts give me
Freedom….it’s okay if you get
Triggered…it’s okay to scroll
Up…but what you’re not goin to
Do is put me in my place….

Again I said what I fuckin said
Jesus ain’t real….
You can pray for me
You can try to change my mind…
But I said,

Jesus ain’t real…
If he was, why didn’t he rescue black people
From torture? From strange fruit? From slavery?
If he was so powerful and perfect,
How come he didn’t shut down the whole system?
Answer me that

You got offended,
Since
I hurt your feelings
Since
I’m being harsh about it

Cos A lot of y’all
Would defend your savior
Before your loved ones….

Y’all don’t realize that
Y’all are brainwashed
Y’all tell other black people
That voodoo is the devil….
When it’s our culture…

They made laws not to practice
Our own traditions…

Look at history
Take a look at the minds of
Too many black folks
Who still pray
Who still go to church
Who still wait to save us
Who still recite bible like it’s everythin
Who will continue to defend Jesus
Who still forgive oppressors
Even though
I love gospel and weddings
However

In the real real cold world
Jesus Christ isn’t real
He’s nothin but to make you feel good
They’re so blind to see the actual truth…

And you wonder why
Kids ask questions
About god,
Interesting smart questions
And the parents and grandparents
Pop their mouths
Or told them to hush

And maybe that tactic came from slavery
I’m not sure…
It’s possible….
