FORGOTTEN : DRC’S DISPLACED MILLIONS!

The world has turned a blind eye to their plight. An astonishing 7 Million Congolese are internally displaced amid genocidal violence in the country’s east. On top of the humanitarian crisis and conflict, some of the women also told us about abuse and rape. One reason for the Western media’s silence could be that wealthy countries depend on destabilising the Congo. While M23 rebels wreak deadly havoc, the priority will not be improving the dangerous working conditions and minuscule wages of miners, many of them children, digging up the minerals on which today’s modern technology so vitally depends. Western multinationals lord over DRC’s wealth while its people suffer in poverty. Helping out the needy would mean eventually having to pay fair prices for Congolese goods, hence they don’t.

It's also now rarely used and is often considered offensive. The word's self-referential uses by and among Black people are not always intended or taken as offensive (although many object to those uses as well), but its use by a person who is not Black to refer to a Black person can only be regarded as a deliberate expression of contemptuous racism.

A protester in Kinshasa, DR Congo, tears down the EU and Belgian flags from a luxury hotel as a large crowd cheers. The latest uprising against the West is challenging colonial legacies in Congo, demanding an end to Western complicity in Congo's armed conflict, which protesters say has already cost 10 million lives.

The M23 rebels are threatening to take over the strategically important city of Goma, home to 2 million people. Part of the war includes the world's most extensive and most expensive UN mission, MONUSCO, which has become the target of protests after criticism of its inaction against the advancing rebels and scandals of sexual violence against civilians.

In Kinshasa, police dispersed protests by firing tear gas after people set fire to barricades. In recent days, anti-Western protests have led to attacks on Western embassies and institutions. Protesters criticize the Western looting of the country and profit from conflict in the DR Congo.

The so called black woman is known to stick by her man through out history. She will fight for her man, with her man but not to her man. No matter if he was rich are poor.
