Cos your gut speaks
Do you hear it?
Maybe you want love
Maybe you want somebody to love….

It’s possible that
Your soul needs a flame
Possible you need a deep connection…
Never know….

So maybe you could pursue a
Person who you could be devoted to
And do the same for you as well…

There’s nothin with that….

I don’t think we want reparations

It’s all talk…it’s all in another speech….

I don’t see us
Doin anythin to
Put money in our hands
And have you fixed everythin
That’s broken…

We don’t make governments
To give us billions…we just
Let it go….how many black folks
Pray for them to cut the check…
How many prayers?

After all free labor
After all this capitalism
After that white America is livin good….

White folks
Know they owe us….
For being their mammy
For being their sambo
For workin in their yards and fields,
For beatin us, breedin us….

They know they’ll sit
On our money…
They’re not goin to cut the check
And we, we’re not that serious….

I don’t think we ever be
We continue to write poems
Articles post hashtags reparations
On every social media
Without action…

If we do somethin about it,
Don’t have me write a poem
Or a paragraph of why i need to cut the check….
No don’t give me assignments

It's interesting how your perception of people can be totally opposite of how they perceive you. I could literally be in my head at home walking around and suddenly start thinking about one of my "follower friends" on social media in a positive manner only to open up my social media page to check on them and see they unfriended, unfollowed or even blocked me, even if I didn't say anything to them that was disrespectful.
Mostly it's been because they don't like what I stand for which is the liberation of Black people and being an independent group of people. Oh well. I won't stop rubbing people the wrong way of just by being my organic Black self.
