GARLIC PARMESAN ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUTS
Try to use organic sprouts whenever possible.
Also, prior to cooking always wash them.
Peel the first layer off in case the exterior layer of skin might be bad-looking.
Can be roasted in the oven.
Use fresh garlic as it tastes so much better.

INGREDIENTS
(cut into small pieces) 8 ounces tempeh bacon
(washed, bottoms trimmed and cut in half) 2 pounds Brussels sprouts
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
5 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 cup vegan parmesan cheese (store-bought or homemade)
Over medium heat, place a cast-iron skillet(large). Cook, once add the tempeh bacon pieces and until it gets crispy. Transfer to a paper-lined dish, once crispy.
Leaving only about two tablespoons in the pan, drain most of the tempeh bacon grease. Then add the Brussels sprouts and for about TEN minutes, cook stirring occasionally.
Add in the red pepper flakes, paprika, dried parsley, and garlic. Season with pepper and salt, stir, cover the pan, reduce heat to low, and heat for TEN more minutes.
Add back the tempeh bacon and stir and for FIVE minutes, heat uncovered.
Top with vegan parmesan cheese.

Chickpea spinach curry
Ingredients
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 can tomato sauce
1 can coconut milk
3 cloves garlic
1 onion chopped
Curry powder
Cumin
Tumeric
Paprika
Salt
Spinach
Add olive oil to a pan, add onion and sauté. Then add garlic and spice blend. Cook until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
Add in chickpeas, sauce, and coconut milk and let simmer for another 6-8min. Remove from heat and add a handful of spinach
Serve with rice or naan

Constructive, and white supremacy would hear
About it, they would freak out

So much death threats to my family
Includin my mother…they would tell her
Why are you lettin your daughter write this? Are
You tellin her to write black power? They would
Convince her to tell me to stop writin like this..
With so much force…or the fact I won’t have
Any readers no more…cos my words could be
Too powerful just to unite my brothas and sistahs
Together and racism can’t handle that…
You know how white supremacy doesn’t want
Black people to read, and gain more power….
To be intelligent and find ways to challenge them….
If my poems could do such magic
Like breakin the internet with heavy messages goin left
To right….it’s possible I will get assassinated or go somewhere
Else where i wouldn’t be allowed to write…who knows…
Regardless of my disability…can you imagine a black disabled poetess
Who writes just for black people and have them become unify, I would end up dead….
Cos black leaders with tight backbone gets killed….it’s why leadership doesn’t show
black communities…It’s there but not on social media or news network…
In this scenario I would be scared but at the same time I would take
A risk, only cos black people need to wake up….
Black people need to heal
Black people need to be disciplined
Black people know their own history
Black people should learn how to respect themselves…
Black people should teach other black people how to read
And be patient and be kind and be humble and be loved
Towards each other….if my poems could bring enlightenment
To my people, my voice might be banned…my voice might be
Cancel…i shouldn’t care cos this poem is about black people….
This poem is about a scenario of how would my poems give so much power
To the people who look like me….the fact I’m not coddlin any race groups’ feelings
Just my own….there’s no way I can exploit my own people with personal gain
That would mean I definitely hate myself if I do that….if I write black power poetry
To the black community and get them to come together readin make it go viral
Passin down to other black communities readin and make it into hashtags and have
Other black communities to challenge white supremacy without fear in their bones…
Maybe they will erase the coons off their veins…if anythin happens, I would like to see end results…
Breakin a world record like that, i would love to witness that…please?
