Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking
by Susan Cain
Very good read. You will learn some things, but really for me it confirmed quite a bit, and helped me to better understand how/when to best utilize some tools I had in my arsenal.
I'm not quite sure I was born an introvert, but certain circumstances growing up molded me into someone who embraced the super power of introversion. As a child vigorous classical piano training (4-6 hours per day) took me deep inside. Martial arts introduced me to meditation and "opening the way"... and being on "punishment"... solitary confinement to my bedroom... no phones, tv, radio, visitors, etc... Nothing but books and long hours to concieve, draw, deconstruct, build, and create.... This book is a good read (or audiobook listen) for anyone interested in learning more about the super power of "deep work".
I have the audiobook and can upload to a google drive or whatever if there's any interest.

I have problems with information presented by a journalist. They story tell...From experience, also their sources are nonexistent, often. And, there references are vague and loosely presented.
But professor French's book "Born in Blackness" (2022, 548 pages) has value and accuracy. I knew him earlier because be wrote the book Africa: "A Continent for the Taking" (2005, 276 pages).
Get it...
