I realize there's the prevailing thought or premise that all American politics is bad.
I don't dispute that. The way I look at the bigger picture, for me is playing chess not checkers. In order to get what you need within the system until you can fully execute your plan, play the game and back the most favorable option, that buys you time to meet your goals.
America has a price to pay for its history of racial bullshit. I say plan your work, then work your plan. Play the game to get what's best for you and your loved ones.

Yet when you’re in an interracial
Relationship, there might be racist members
That could make you go back in your place

I hope you have a partner defends

I hope your partner will use white privilege
To stand by you

Tell them the truth…
