I'm telling you we have to be pragmatic. The 2024 presidential election will be immediately consequential to Blacks/minorities, if we don't address the threat to our collective. Not saying one party is better than the other, what I am saying is one party is willing to bring it to your doorstep tomorrow and turn a blind eye to wanton violence under the guise of law and order. Can you say 'posse comitatus'....

Can you mock a poet?

Can you mock a poet?
You could but it wasn’t nice
To mock a person who loves rhymes…
Why would you do that?
Do you have business to
Make fun of somebody’s gift?
You can’t be serious…
Poet will write
Will speak a poem
And it might hurt your feelings
Or not
Poet will ignore your mockery
You might be envious
Cos poet is so good….
Right?
Poet could be a best seller in the world
Books after books
Here you are
Laughin
In misery
You could be
Cryin Immaturely
You too old
To be a bully
To be a torturer
I don’t understand
You’re a child

This post is for the Admins: I have a page for my business here, but I haven't been able to post from that page in a couple of weeks. I keep getting an internal error. Could be happening because I'm using my phone (Android) versus actually using the web version? TIA

White mediocrity will always outperform Black Excellence in a white power structure.

Jay-Z didn't say anything most of us haven't already said and nothing we didn't already know. He just said it on a large platform. But, spoiler alert:

They don't care when it is said on a small platform. And they don't care when it is said on a large platform, either.

White people/power structures do not treat Black People with any form of respect unless they are forced to.

• They had to be forced to stop enslavement.
• They had to be forced to stop Jim Crow.
• They had to be forced to end segregation.
• They had to be forced to stop red lining.
• They had to be forced to let us vote.
• They had to be forced to, in some states, stop discriminating against our hair in the workplace.
• They had to be forced to...

Well, you get the point.

This here? Not new. And it isn't changing, either. Not until we either come up with a way to force them to change, OR... we stop coveting their bullshit and start rewarding ourselves by removing ourselves from their accessibility and creating and big-upping our own awards and award shows.

Kansas City, Missouri, not the state of Kansas.
