I have the same energy for the L.A. protests, that y'all had when Haitian refugees was being whipped at the border.

A little backstory on how I became heavily involved in the prepper lifestyle.

I was living in Alaska in 2015, working for a rural hospital/clinics. My roommate was Director of Security for the hospital (I was Director of Facilities). In Bethel (the town of about 6,00, all supplies had to be flown in during the winter (food, household items, etc.), and the prices for those items was ridiculous, for example, a 24 case of water was $29, gallon of milk....$16, pound of ground beef, $13.40, and on and on (this is the reason I got Amazon prime).

Well, fishing and hunting for food became a MFFUCKIN necessity. I knew how to fish from doing it and at a young age, but I had no experience hunting large game (elk, caribou, musk ox, moose, beaver, you name it), so if I wanted to eat meat besides fish, I could buy it from the store, or kill my dinner. Being a cheap fucker, I chose the later.

How does this correlate into a prepping lifestyle? Well living that way for 19 months, I formulated the same mindset as everyone else "if it's not completely necessary, you don't need it." Also, "Stock up for days when you can't get supplies."

I bought only what I couldn't hunt, fish, or barder for. Water was at a premium (water trucks pumped in your household water for the month), so was everything else, so I learned how to live off of what you couldn't get conveniently.

Now I only live off the "minimum", and keep those items absolutely necessary for my survival packed away....close.
