Remembering Dr. Sebi

If a black man or a black woman
With a disability
Was a leader to his or her own people,
Without white supremacy involvement
He or she would get shot
And we never heard of him or her….
If they were both leaders without white supremacy
Involvement,
They would lose money
Would lose benefits
Would lose Medicaid
Their phones be tapped
White supremacy will hire an agent
As caregiver
Or as a case worker
Cos their guards who protect their leaders
Would get murder or in jail
Maybe a black disabled leader
Would go to psych ward
For “misbehavior.”
Though he or she
Or he and she is too intelligent
They challenged them
Makin hard moves on chess
Yet either the system will kill them
Or make them go to psych ward
Cos white supremacy
Threatens their families to stop
Black disabled leaders
For being too bold
Too brave….
Too strong
They sacrificed
For their own people
Black people….
I never see a black revolutionist
With a disability
Who reminds me of Malcolm X….
Who reminds me of Fred Hampton….
Who reminds me of Patrice Lumumba….
Who reminds me of Marcus Garvey….
I never see a melaninated hero
In a wheelchair
Who scared white supremacy away….
I never seen such a leader
Who has a walker
Can unite black communities together
I never witnessed
Black disabled leaders
Got unconditional love for
Black people, got a compassion for their fight….
I know the routine
Unfortunately
They will be killed
Secret foul play
And nobody knows who’s the murders
Til years later or not….
White supremacy
Fears black power
They fear
It’s why they shut down black panther party
They shut down the original Black Lives Matter
Cos they scare….
They killed Nat Turner
Cos they scare….
They don’t wanna talk about Haitian revolution
Cos they scare….
They slaughtered our leaders cos they quivered….
White supremacy created black face leaders
Who can tell us lies and turn the other cheek….
If I see a black disabled leader,
Who plays chess right
And loves his or her people….
I would look up to him or her,
Doin somethin clever that’s never been done before….
And the fact is,
A black disabled leader can’t be
In her or his place….
I would love
I would have so much respect…
I would honor….
A black leader wants to liberate
His or her people
Encouragin them to fight back
To burn the whole system…..
