It's all the adults fault. Spanking a child is a disrespect for that child (besides being child abuse). If the child experiences adults that doesn't respect him, or her, as a child, he or she will grow up not to respect adults. Elders need to stop acting surprised when they get back the disrespect they once gave the child, who grows up to disrespect authority/adults. Elders - take accountability for your past actions against children. Violence/disrespect is learnt behavior. The fatherless epidemic in the ebony community, has an negative impact on the minds of teens and adults, as well. It takes a village.
