Ear candling is a procedure that involves placing a lit, hollow candle in your ear to remove earwax and other impurities.

The candle is placed in a long, hollow wax paper tube. One end of the tube is placed in the ear and the other end is lit.

The heat from the burning candle is said to create a vacuum that draws out earwax, debris, and bacteria.
