Dash-cam video released from incident in June Shows Portland man driving through Grand Floral Parade barricades

Prosecutors submitted the dramatic video, taken from Sidney Mecham’s own dash cams, as evidence during an August preventative detention hearing. It shows three different angles of what happened that day.

Officers tried to stop him several times, but he got away. He eventually stopped and was arrested.

Mecham pleaded not guilty to 38 counts, including felony unlawful use of a weapon and attempting to elude an officer. He’s currently being held in the Multnomah County Inverness Jail.
