Something's happening within me and I don't know really how to explain it. I know I have to trust the process but these feeling tho😕⁉️😕

I hang around with
White people
A lot, and I don’t talk
About race with them….

I hang around
With white people
And black people
Notice I act white
I pick up their habits

Many black people
Easily pick up their habits…
I don’t wanna be a coon,
I don’t wanna be a token negro

Most of all I don’t wanna
Be an anti black….
Don’t develop a self hate
Towards myself and
My own people….

This is what I’m afraid of
Is that
I could potentially stop
Writin black people from my soul

If I hang around
With white people
Too much,
Even though

I don’t see a lot of
Black people hangin
Around a lot, yet I still love them
Maybe it’s cos of our condition
Where we’re more away from
Each other….

I’m not sayin
All black people…
I go to a social function
Where brothas and sistahs
Chill and dance enjoyin a good time
With the other folks….

It’s not many
Black people who I hung around
Just a few….one black person
Who I strolled through the mall with…

It was fun….

I hang out with
White people more than
Black people except for
My family….

And yet since
I write poems about
Racism white supremacy
I do look at white people
Differently

And I write bad things they did and still do
To us, I don’t really like that…..
I have white friends
Some read my poems
Others ain’t my friend
Anymore

Cos i said somethin truthful….
The truth is cruel….
I think my compassion has made them
Uncomfortable….
I don’t care
I don’t apologize

Somehow
I got black people
Who loves me
Who loves my soul
My heartbeat
And I love them too…
So to give back is to teach them about white supremacy
Through poetry
Even if they don’t wanna read it
Even if they’re ignorant
Still I would remind my people how beautiful they are….

It’s why I draw them in my sketchbook
Cos we’re a really gorgeous people
I just wish we have a self respect and dignity
Within ourselves, and love each other
Then burn down the whole system….
The whole system that keeps exterminatin us
Like roaches….
We’re not roaches…

We’re original humans who gives birth to humanity
And humankind….we’re the mothers and fathers of the
Human race….
