Did you know? Willy Wonka's Lumpa lumpas were originally enslaved pygmies (Twa tribe)? Makes sense... Chocolate... Africa..

Paperdoll

Paperdoll write her own stars
In the sky…what are her dreams
Are about? I’m not sure….
Should I ask her?

I went up to her
And asked her what she’s dreamin
About…

She said well I’ve been dreamin
About this paper man….
He’s in my dreams….
We were gettin married
And live a life a happy endin…

I was like wow
That’s so quixotic
I love that…
Do you know him?

She says no
But to believe he’s out there
Lookin for her….I’m just
Waitin…writin my own stars
Like a secret diary…

I tell her
He’s comin
He’s comin to get you
And you’ll be in his arms forever….

She smiles…she has faith in
Fairytales, she wanders off in
Romantic ideals of someone
Who loves her, too…

This kind paper doll
And I have somethin in common
We both want a love story to last an eternity
With butterflies and laughter….

She writes her stars
I write poems
About our men who make
Us fly like

Birds….

Oh paper doll,
I hope you find the man of your dreams….
