What if I decided not to write poems
About racism white supremacy anymore?
What if I stop tellin the truth for once and forget all?
Would you be disappointin?
Or would that be your release?
All that black power
All that unify and historic facts
Like nobody wanna deal with the harsh reality…
Yet there are so much horrors in this world….
Ignorance tells me to stop
Writin about what’s real and what’s not
Cos it makes you uncomfortable….
We’ve been uncomfortable for decade
And we got so used to it…
And we did nothin….
And we complained and did nothin….
So I think i should stop writin about
This heavy subject, though I’m still goin to be
Observer and take notes in my head….
The reason I wanna stop writin about
White supremacy, cos black people will never seem
To wake up, and they don’t care about their well beings…
After I saw those black women twerkin on
A slave dungeon in Ghana
I lost hope I got doubts speakin to my soul
Like what the fuck is wrong with us…some of us are right
About one thing, we should stop talkin about
Race, we should stop complainin about
White supremacy abuses….
Cos truthfully
We as black people ain’t going to do
A motherfuckin thing….
I chose not to write about us fightin back
Or buckbreakin
Or say we’re at war…
Black nation doesn’t get it….
I might change my mind
Goin back to writin poems about
The exposure of systemic racism
And black people…nothin is goin
To change…we’re sick as a people
A poem doesn’t make a difference
For the whole black community to realize
We’re livin in a genocide….only few lives
Will change….
I understand black people
Wanted to be comfortable
And not be aware of what’s happenin…
Yet we’re experiencin the extermination without
Realizin it, and we never wanna believe the true colors
Of this cold cold world…
We’re conditioned to be that dumb
And twerk and being disrespected
And not fight back we’re gay….
Yes we are gay….
We’re transgenders
We’re Stockholm Syndrome
Go ahead and laugh
Laugh all you want…
Cos
We ain’t takin us seriously…🤬✊🏿💯 ©️ Kai C. 6-28-23
This poem is the harshest reality I come to witness. I feel like I don’t wanna write poems about racism for black people because they will never get the fact that we’re at war. We truly lost respect for ourselves. We will never get it. Sorry but it’s the truth. We have so much self hatred within our race. Look at our behaviors, it’s really sick…slavery and colonialism has done a huge number of us…many times we’re still scared to the right thing for our own people. We’re continuing to fall in love with whiteness.. I want to help black people as much as I can, yet some still don’t wanna hear about what’s actually happening. I speak the truth from the heart and as a black race we deserve the truth.
