A woman has been accused of shooting and killing her Uber driver in Texas after mistakenly believing that she was being kidnapped and driven to Mexico against her will. 48-year-old Phoebe Copas has since been charged with murder in the death of 52-year-old Daniel Piedra Garcia. She is in jail in El Paso and is being held on a $1.5 million bond.
Police report that Copas, who resides in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, was visiting her boyfriend in El Paso. On June 16, Piedra was driving Copas to a location in the city’s southeast area when she saw a sign that read 'Juarez, Mexico.' Although El Paso is located next to Juarez on the U.S.-Mexico border, Copas mistakenly thought she was being kidnapped and taken to Mexico, prompting her to shoot Piedra in the back of the head with a handgun. The car struck a barrier before ultimately coming to a stop on U.S. 54 South.
Immediately after the shooting, Copas took a photo of Piedra, injured, and texted it to her boyfriend. Only afterward did she call the authorities.
Piedra was rushed to a hospital, where he died a few days later.
The affidavit states that Copas and Piedra were 'not in close proximity of a bridge, port of entry or other area with immediate access to travel into Mexico.' The El Paso Police Department also said in a statement, that '[t]he investigation does not support that a kidnapping took place or that Piedra was veering from Copas' destination.'
Let me put some thing into your perspective, animals that live in nature NEVER get sick.
They live a long and healthy lives until humans take them in their care.
Animals in the wild simply don't get sick because they are grounded 24/7, their paws are always touching the ground.
Until few years ago, there was a dog in my neighbourhood who was 2 decades old! This dog was fed by the folks but he slept and was outside 24/7, even in the Winters -10c/15f he survived it all and managed to outlive every single dog that my friends had.
The point of the story is we live our lives insulated from the earth wearing rubber shoes, living indoors etc. This causes our bodies to become depleted. Touching the ground replenishes our electron and restores our connection to the earth’s energy.
Once you walk barefoot, free electrons from the Earth are transferred into your body, which is one of the most potent antioxidants known.
