We needed more time together pops. We needed understand and empathy. Love and peacefulness. Compassion and transparency. Accountability and healing. To laugh and cry. To say, 'I apologize''and say "I'm sorry." To exhibit changed behavior and even seek out therapy as an option. I knew you as my father but never knew you as the man you had to become because of your circumstances. And now I'm left with questions on top of questions with only my imagination to help sort out the unanswered. For now just know, you and I have unfinished business when I see you agin. Till then,Pops.....I hope you had/have the opportunity to share all these things with grandma and grandpa while you're visiting them in their realms too. My Big Pops.
