Victory Day
A day when a black man
Was proven innocent….
You know
That day
It was sunny
He moonwalked out of the
Courtroom
As free as he could be…

The crowd cheered
The tabloids got pissed
He was innocent
He was always innocent…

Though
Can I say somethin?
To be real with you?
We watched him lynched
Like a strange fruit
On television…..
News networks after news networks
The stand up comedies
And newspapers
The whole world was lynchin him
They didn’t have to have a tree
Or a rope….

They choke Peter Pan in him
He won’t able to breathe again….
I know we gotta celebrate his innocence
And his victory…
But don’t forget the aftermath..
This black man has developed another trauma
That sustained his heart forever….
What the people did to him,
Cause a disorder
Cause a hurt

They literally killed
Every spec of his soul..
I heard unkind things
I heard he was a lovin soul
And
Everybody took advantage of him…..

People who experience this kind of
Event though no fame no money
It’s just everyday people who is tryin to live their best
Life without a false reputation…
Same but different people different situations
Then they developed trauma….a new syndrome
That causes repeated cycles…

Cos this black man
He’s not alone….

This black man Michael Jackson is not alone….
People went through similar situations….

Ya he was happy that he was proven innocent
But he was this kind of new broken….

If moonwalkers imagined….

I don’t mean to be negative
About it….it’s just that we have to also

On tv for the whole globe to witness…

His family saw
His kids saw…

All cos he was too powerful
He challenged the system…
He was playin chess….

Yet
That could be your loved one
Cryin heavily at a table
With Kleenex in his hand

His broken heart
His pieces were scattered all over the room

Someone put a real chokehold on
This child like misunderstood man…
Someone I mean people…

This is a racist motivation
On purpose
Nobody see it
I didn’t see it
At the time….

I didn’t see the lynchin in 2005….
I knew Michael was innocent….
He’d never harm a child….

Tomorrow is Michael Jackson’s victory day. It’s when he was announced innocent of all counts. This happened in 2005. I think on that afternoon I fell asleep when the judge was announced that he was innocent. I remember on the news there were full of crowded people from all over the world just seeing what goes down. Moonwalkers love that Michael. Some of them skipped exams just to go and be there for Michael. Honestly to be honest with you, that is a celebrity worship syndrome. I believe I have it too.
I’m a moonwalker myself. I do talk about Michael Jackson a lot.
