In 1906, a wealthy African-American land-owner, named #owgurley, moved to #tulsa and bought 40 acres of land that he opted to only sell to Black settlers. Black ownership was unheard of at that time. Gurley “had a vision to create something for Black people by Black people.”

but the word retard means stupid

For a handicapped person
I would say a brain don’t function the way other
Brains function…
It’s why it is disability
Also a body is deformed yet it doesn’t mean
You’re dumb…

People with disabilities
Are still normal…
And people out there in the world
Are still think
We’re retards
We’re not normal
We don’t belong here in today’s society
Which is heartbreakin…

I ignored them in despite of
Hurt feelings
Even the stares
I turned the other cheek
And be like whatever….

Come to think of it
Stares are stalker gazes….
And we do deal with that a lot….

Dependin on situations
