On April 19, 1980, Bob Marley and the Wailers performed in front of 100,000 fans at the Rufaro Stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe. A day earlier, on April 18th, he sang “Zimbabwe” at Zimbabwe's 1st independence festivities. Bob marley to the crowd in 1980: "How good and how pleasant it would be, before God and man, yeah. To see the unification of all Africans. Africa Unite!" Bob Marley also travelled to African countries like Ethiopia, Kenya and Gabon
