Imhotep Charter High School in Philadelphia is leaving for Ghana. Students are doing a STEM service learning project. They have developed water filters with 3 D printers. They are traveling with 3D printers and will be teaching students from 11 different schools in Ghana how to make them. They are also taking a shipment of our reuseable menstrual pads that PASHI (Pan-African Sisterhood Health Initiative) made to donate to female students. Hoping to reduce school absences and shame due to not having menstrual hygiene items.
The students also took hundreds of lightly used sneakers for the youth.
When she first set foot in Costa Rica, Davia Shannon knew instantly that she would eventually return permanently. She loved being able to do yoga with the jungle as her backdrop and surf whenever she pleased. Even more, she valued the sense of freedom she gained.
