Black people poem

I feel the need to write this…
I don’t wanna put the idea of
Black people who doesn’t help me
In my head…I don’t wanna do that,
It frightens me a lot…
Black people did help me
Shit my family help me
Everyday…
Here’s the thing,
The idea came from a conversation
Where we talked about how white people
Helps me more than black people….
White people do more stuff with
Me than black people…
They took me out
They do everythin with me
More than black people….
It came from a conversation
That a person and I were….
To me, it does offend me
Cos there are a lot of black people
Who help me outside my house….
Ya they may not take me out that much for a hangout
They may not be a helpin hand to our needs accordin to a person….
But they were there in our faces….
I wonder if this is a part of our condition
Where we think of ourselves as not helpin hand
And we never invite each other just to hang out
Cos of whatever reason…It’s not excuse….maybe it is
Dependin on how you look at the situation….
I can say we as black people are sick….
We really are sick….
I can say white supremacy has fucked us up….
Though I’m not goin to say
Black people didn’t help me….
They do help me…
So many
It’s that they don’t come around just the way white people did…
I don’t wanna put that in my head….
I love black people…
If I have the idea in my head, would that make me feel like
I’m not helpin myself?
It’s possible….
I’m helpin black people to learn about white supremacy….
I’m tellin them how beautiful they are
And it comes from my soul….
And the person she didn’t say all black people
She said not too many
Though it’s true in my situation
However it doesn’t mean I gotta put
That idea in my head sayin black people are not helpin
Hand….
Black people
Are helpin hand…
Black people
Will give off their shirt off for someone….
Black people
Are the most lovin people on the planet….
I’m not goin to disrespect my race like that….
And I didn’t say all of that to the person….
I’m afraid it will lead to an argument..
I love being black,
I love my people
And we do suffer a lot
Even if we don’t hang out
Even if we’re not helpin hand at the moment…
As a poetess
I’m still givin you a voice
I’m still advocatin our blackness…
All kinds of black people
Across the planet….
I love y’all with all my heart and soul…
