The story of success   The story of success  Had been erased off  Off the ground  For some reason   Certain townsfolk  Get jealous of  People who accomplished things  So unapologetic....  It happened everywhere  In a country where townsfolk  Hide their own blood...you know  This is history right?   The story of success  Isn't taught in school  Hmm I wonder why   The story of success  Gets destroyed  Cos people got better than  Other people.... Better than townsfolk   So what did they do? They came with hoods Riotin families homes Babies cryin  Men lynchin Women screamed   Stores Schools  Libraries  Everythin was crashin down Cos   Townsfolk was jealous  They even turned someone's county  Into a lake...yet it became a ghost town   The story of success  Has changed into  A haunted tale   Where ancestors  Walk around with so much  Hurt...so much trauma  And townsfolk be like get over it  It's in the past to other generations from  Their great grandparents  Who witnessed the horrific violence  The happenings  The events   The story of success  Wasn't written in textbooks  Cos   America doesn't wanna admit  The guilt  They don't wanna go on  A guilt trip.....  The story of success  Is what I'm referrin to  Black towns....  They were successful  Til wicked white people came  Over and burn our shit to the ground... There are so many bones  Still on the ground  With broken hearts  Askin why....  Cos townsfolk meanin White people were jealous.... White America got so angry  That black towns has a success story  To the point they violently made it into a  Myth..  This is why  We should never forgive such a thing  Even they apologized years and years later  We shouldn't forgive.... We shouldn't forget....  Never forget the story of success  In black towns  Like black Wall Street  Lake Lanier  Senance village  Oscarville  Etc.  We need to learn about  Them.... we need to learn About how we didn't protect  The story of success.... How a white woman weaponize  Rape against the black man  How the mobs of white men with guns And ropes and matches from different states And how black people tried to escape....  We get triggered....
Cos our people got abused from
Townsfolk white America
They were jealous of how more successful
We are...they were outraged
They were like y'all ain't allowed to be
Better than us, especially when we're under a
System of white supremacy... and the fact
They don't have power over the black towns....

I always think about black people are too afraid
Of buildin their own town cos of what happened....
And that they would give up...sad part about it is
Givin up is givin more power to white people...

Also we are conditioned not to be on our own
Only to be integrated with the other races...
White supremacy created divisions for black people
Cos white people need black people....it's another reason
To sabotage a black town a success story....

The only reason the success story
Has been damaged rippin off pages
Cos of envy cos they need us the most.....

They won't admit it....
They won't admit their wrongdoings
But their white privilege told us
That we don't talk about it...some of us quickly hush...
Some of us were outspoken about the success story....

When we talk about how success
These black towns were
Townsfolk would shake, tremble
With fear cos they know exactly what their ancestors did...
And they're benefitin from it....
