Most human hair used for weaves and wigs is obtained from Asia (perhaps most often China, India, and Korea). In India, a large portion of the hair used in weaves and lace fronts is sourced from Hindu temples where hair is donated for religious practices, particularly in honor of the Hindu God Vishnu, the god of preservation (looking at some of y'all weaves, he ain't preserving shit lol 🤣). It's also sourced from homeless people that sell their hair to make ends meet, and allegedly, from people that died 👀.
