I swear my got damn Mother pisses me off beyond belief sometime!

She's expressed to me my whole life about her parents my grand parents fucked up parenting, but when I bring it up she goes into this I'm not bitter about it speech!

It has nothing to do with being bitter when it's TRUE!

Why even address bitterness? I'm just simply giving a view point based off of what she told me, and based off of what I've observed personally dealing with my grand parents which aligns with what she's experienced when dealing with them.

Why does bitterness have to enter into the conversation when it's FACTS!

I think I still got a
Scenario in my head
Where my poems get erased
By a racist cos I talk about
Black people, the truth about
Them….and the white supremacy
That makes some readers triggered…..

People are bannin
Books on black history
From the library
From schools
They might even take
Them off from the readin apps
I may not be surprised…

White people
Are scared…..

It’s why they pull
Dr. Frances Cress Welsing isis papers
Book out, Malcolm x,
Books on black panther
Even poetry about revolution
And freedom….

As a writer
If they mute my mic
And white out my words
Cos I only ink the truth
Honestly
My feelings will get hurt….

If my black poetry gets too popularized,
And they will come after
I might have a fear
I might feel bad
Yet I see more black people readin

They’re learnin more about their history
More observant….

When we get more intelligent,
White people tend to be more afraid…,
They decided to change our own narratives
So they can be comfortable
I don’t like that….

I don’t want colonizers
To edit my blackness…
I don’t want Coons to persuade
Me how I should write
Only cos
White people feel the need to coddle….
No
They
Don’t
Need
Anythin else
They will be alright in their guilt trip….
Sometimes they need to get used to gaslight
When it comes to the facts…..

Like slaves built this country….
Like sayin white supremacy
When they get red
They tried to explain with a stutter
Just cos of white fragility Is holdin
Them back…..

They knew what’s goin on
It’s why their expression is written
In their silence
Showin off their true colors

I bet white readers read a black poem by
A black poet, and get offended
They would want to lynch that poet
Like strange fruit….

I’m sure they would want me
On a tree….

I’m keepin it real….
Bet those thoughts would never goes away…..

Like think about it for a second
I’m not sayin all white readers
But some white readers who would pick
Up African American poetry book
About racism white supremacy
They do get triggered….
They be like get over it
It’s possible to get those poems banned
From the library from the bookstore
I wouldn’t be surprised
Yet they forgot black people who read also
Enjoyin the books….

To some white readers
They don’t even want black people
To read these uprisin black unity…
They can use their systematic power
To do so….

And it’s another scenario….
I don’t wanna be in those types of situations
Where my voice for black people goes
To vanish cos of white readers
Cos of what I said
So what they feel uncomfortable

Racism needs to be talked about
To write about….
Though white supremacy is willin to rewrite
The definition to create more confusion….
Like they will always rewrite history

And i know they will not allowed
My poems to be on public display
Cos they’re all about black people
And white supremacy the kind of subject that
They wanna erase forever…and they wanna keep
Repeatin the violent behavior against the black
Race over and over again….without even single word

Love makes me blind
To see all the blue skies
Between us….we fly
Dancin on clouds
Love is beautiful
Too beautiful
To the point I don’t witness
A reality
Like I chose to be
This naive…meanin
We will never break each other’s hearts….

That was my thought process
I fight for love to be sweet
To be sugar plum and chocolate
Only for us to melt away

Love has gotten us blind
Blindsided and stupid
We just wanna stay young
Together we just wanna run away
That’s all…..
You pull my heartstrings
I pull yours, too…

We feel it’s real,
We sense it’s real….
This is our reality
Where

We don’t break promises to
One another….

And nobody understands that….

People experience too much
Heartbreaks…
They never really have an actual person who loves
Them back….
They don’t know what the blue skies looks like…
They never dance on clouds
Til maybe a special someone comes along…

You see
Realest love
Makes everythin is alright
Even when the storms rushin in….

It makes us blind
Severely blind
That we don’t wanna be
The bad things
Around us
We can be ignorant
Though sometimes
Our wrongdoings could wake us up…

Dependin
On any situation

As I said before
Love makes me blind

I used to be all about valentine day
Cos i found out the truth
But at the same time
It’s still pulling my heartstrings

Is that bad? And every time love was talked about,
I’ve become romantic all over again…
Part of me shouldn’t celebrate it
Cos it’s European holiday and the fact

Lgtqb community in the romans and Greeks
Wouldn’t allow heterosexuals to get married
And they throw valentine in jail…

It’s a pedophile holiday
No wonder they changed and Americanized it
Cos it was creepy no offense

When I was reading something
About cupid, it was young boy with wings….

I have to remind myself
Valentine’s Day isn’t about love….
It was more about sex

Then I see commercials
Made me think I wanted a valentine….

It’s all propaganda….

Love should be celebrated every day
