Recently, my debit wasn't working at the checkout and the cadhier (a white lady) took my card and was explaining to me that there's a chip in it that i could insert that end in the machine and it'll work (which i did because i know this and i don't swipe) and i said, "Really?" So she did it and BOOM! It still didn't work 😄. Then she looked at it and said, "You see this wifi thing, heere? That's a tap, and if you tap it on the machine, it'll work." And i said, "No way!" And she said, "Yes, let me show you." She inserted the card, and it went through, and i said,"Wow, that's amazing. I thought that was to connect to wifi so i could get a better signal when i travel to foreign countries..." She said, 'NO, that's so you can tap and pay, you don't have to swipe." And i said, "Thank you so much, i have to go try this. " So i got my stuff, went back to get a kitkat, went back in line to where she was at, gave her the kitkat, time to pay she said, "Remember, just tap, don't swipe." I tapped it, it went though and i said, OMG! This is incredible!" She said "Now you know." I said "Yes, thank you so much." And walked off into the night. Now mind you, my Wife was taking in all this, laughing at me, behind the cashier and said, "You know what? You're a total asshioe!" I said, For what? I wanted that kitkat." LMFAO 😅
